The Enterprise Architecture Maturity Model for Higher Education (EAMM-edu) working group will delineate a pathway for Enterprise Architecture practices in higher education from start-up through full maturity. This EAMM-edu will be predicated on existing industry frameworks and will serve as both a guide and assessment tool for practitioners and University leaders. The working group will also develop an Applied Practices Guide to address the required skills, methods and readiness indicators anticipated throughout the various stages of maturation. These materials will be published on the web under a CC-BY 4.0 License and summarized in an article for publication.
EA professionals will benefit from a higher-education centric view of EA.
EA teams will benefit from a maturity framework that is “blessed” by an outside organization and embraced by higher education.
EA practices will better understand what is required to advance to more mature states, including what is required from others in the organization.
EA practices will be better able to express increased value over time.
The EAMM-HE will fill a gap from the absence of such a framework in the public domain.
The practice of Enterprise Architecture in higher education anticipating the continuing evolution of towards business transformation including business and information architecture.
A framework defining levels of maturity and attributes of Enterprise Architecture to be assessed at each level.
An Applied Practices Guide that ties the skills, methods and readiness indicators to various stages of maturation.
