Welcome and Introductions
Thanks to those CACTI members who sent a 100-200 word bio to the CACTI email list . Tom Barton is interim chair, just until CACTI elects a chair . TomB will not be a candidate for CACTI chair . Part of rejuvenation of trust and identity advisory structure is a new chair . See more below on the process.

- It’s a relationship diagram, not an org chart
- Size of a bubble does not relate to its importance
- Key elements of CACTI charter
Provide strategic architectural input
Create and manage community working groups
Manage and evolve community standards for Internet2 T&I
- Foster relationships nationally and internationally
- Broadly share information of relevance
Additional thoughts:- International representation will be helpful in coordinating globally
- Multi directional communications will be important in this diverse and active landscape; listening, informing
- Important to be open and transparent in materials we create and in process . Transparency is an important principle of CACTI
- Educating and increasing awareness is key to create bigger army of people who are identity aware
• Why are we here? Just to keep in mind… too early to answer
- What are some of the problems or tasks you think we should address in our first year?
- What are some of the ways we'll know that our first year has been successful?
Learning Curve
- There may be a steep learning curve for CACTI members
- Kevin, Ann West and Tom Barton are happy to have additional conversations one-on-one to answer questions and do additional orientation for CACTI members. Don’t hesitate to reach out
- It’s an advantage to understand how people new to Internet2 Trust and Identity need much explanation of terms

"Identerati"
There may be areas the R&E sector wants to stay connected with like with OpenID
, Kantara and OASIS but we
can’t always do this with our own hands
. The hope is to leverage Identerati (external identity experts) to keep the professional network graph connected
.

CACTI Chair election/selection
The group decided on this process:
- CACTI members can nominate or self-nominate by email to Kevin and EmilyE .
- Period for nominations: today (June 13) until Tuesday, June 20, 2017
- Kevin will double check with those nominated to be sure they agree
- We may use Google form for voting. If there are many nominees, could use a run-off process
- [AI] (Kevin) will email CACTI with call for nominations (done)
- Chair duties include preparing biweekly agenda and facilitating CACTI calls
Other Logistics
- CACTI minutes, once approved, will be publicly available here
- Plan: when Emily sends out link to draft minutes, there will be a 10 day window to email Emily with any changes/corrections before the minutes are publicly posted.
- Develop communication strategies for CACTI output
