Next Call Topic: Unconscious Bias

All women, allies, and advocates are invited to join in a conversation on our biases and our responses. Beth Schaefer will facilitate the interactive session with a quick overview of unconscious bias, along with examples and suggested responses. Participants will be able to share their experiences and develop usable action plans. Small shifts can lead to big change!

Welcome to the new Women in EA Working Group
Chairs:
- Beth Schaefer (Chief Operating Officer, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee)
- Betsy Draper (Deputy CIO for Strategy, Planning and Enterprise Architecture, Kansas State University)
Charge:
This working group will focus on effective practices in the recruitment, retention, and advancement of women in all aspects of enterprise, business, and technical architecture. Through both virtual and face-to-face networking opportunities, and by making good use of its affiliation with Itana, the goal of this group is to provide sustainable resources for women, their allies, and advocates in addressing a wide range of issues affecting women IT professionals in colleges and universities.
