Narrative
In response to a consultant recommendation an Enterprise Architect was hired in early 2013. The architect attempted to build out the practice with collaboration with "other duties as assigned" application, technology, and business domain architects. An Enterprise Data Architect was hired around 2015-16. The Enterprise Architect left the university in August 2018 and the Enterprise Data Architect left the university in February 2019.

How did your architecture practice get started?

An Enterprise Data Architect was hired around 2015-16. The Enterprise Architect left the university in August 2018 and the Enterprise Data Architect left the university in February 2019.
What is the focus of your practice – e.g., enterprise, business, technical, solution, data architecture?
Dana P. Miller, Business Analyst is currently in the role of Business Domain Architect and has worked to incorporate the CAUDIT Higher Education Business Reference Model into the ITSM tool, TeamDyanmix which can then be used for more informed strategic portfolio discussion with the business.
How big is your practice and where is it located in the organization?
The current business domain architecture practice is located within the portfolio management team of the Solution Delivery department of the central IT organization called IT Services.

We have no federated architecture practice.
