The Itana New2EA Working Group is open to Itana Community Group members who are interesting in launching or relaunching an EA practice as well as those already running mature practices. Itana recognizes that the EA role is inclusive of multiple architecture disciplines.

Working Group Calls
Through 2019 and 2020 the New2EA Working Group held almost thirty highly-valuable events, mostly exploring the skills and competencies required by Enterprise Architects working in higher education. Highlights included sessions on:
- scoping your enterprise architecture practice
- what higher education looks for in enterprise architects
- enterprise architects sharing their career journey

Steering Team Calls
A team of volunteers works together as a Steering Team that coordinates the New2EA Working Group, and meets regularly to plan the call schedule, nominate topics of value to the community, and arrange facilitators and presenters for each session.
