The Internet2 K20 Initiative is building a "mySpace" like collaboration center for the advanced network-enabled K-20 teaching and learning community both within the United States and around the world.  This project is distinguished from similar efforts in that participants will be able to describe and discover projects, people, news, and events covering the entire range of advanced applications and activities.   The site will be capable of supporting multiple online communities such as SEGP state regions, museums, libraries, or international advanced networking teaching and learning groups each with their own "look and feel" but sharing the same underlying databasemore....

IMMEDIATE NEXT STEPS:

  1. reorganize this muse development wiki space into something functional - define development tasks, track to-do's(James)
  2. fix new account notification email weirdness (Kyle)
  3. add a "current status" input field to the profile - display on profile home right below name above title.  Make inline editable from the profile display page and the profile edit page(add status box right above the title/first name/last name fields) (Kyle)
  4. remove the "Mr." "Mrs." from profile. (Kyle)
  5. create ability to add organizations on the fly via the connectivity survey org edit pages. (Kyle)
  6. give everyone on dev team access to the google analystics stats for Muse (James) DONE
  7. Connect Muse devleoment team with someone from I2 middleware who can help us federate Muse (James + Randy)
  8. Muse development team begins to sketch out the functionality for groups and product review tool (All)
  9. Broaden particpation in the Muse devleopment team - also  establish a Muse steering committee composed of noah's ark of Muse users.  use them to define and test new functionality (James + Tim)
  10. Convene a meeting between Muse dev team (James+Kyle+Tim?) and the I2 Technical support folks to talk about a) creating accounts for all core Muse devs + "guest" accounts for iterant parter devs (Jennifer's MAGPI web team devs) b) setting up a bugzilla for Muse on I2 c) security and any other buring hosting issues? (James)
  11. CHANGES TO STATUS:  change text to a darker color. how hard would it be to bring content from Facebook?
  12. NEW FEATURE - be able to view the status of all your friends on your profile page.  also, create al notification of your friend's status updates (either via email or within Muse- flash a message when updated).
  13. LEGAL STATUS of DOMAIN - do we still want to do this?  what are the concerns.
  14. Schedule a meeting with Kyle and development advisory committee
