- list of messages ordered most recent to oldest
- each message has the messenger's image w=70px h=82px, message text, posted on date/time.
- messages can only be left by those logged in
- the messenger and/or the message receiver can edit and delete a message. these options are only seen by messenger/messagee. delete a message requires an intermediate warning/confirmation step.
- ADD A MESSAGE input text box - located below messages, some basic HTML tags are available. pop up window provides details.

- Edit a message
- when someone clicks on edit, they are taken to the edit a message page which contains the same functionality as add a message. success message appears arfter successfully editing a message, person is taken to the page where they can view their messgae.

- interest tags - do ajax magic to see if tag is in system as they type
- chat clients - provide a dropdown selection of clients then provide ability to assign usrname to each client. user can have multiple clients
