1. wikis decided Decided to deploy wikis on in the institute.
Must be authenticated to the wiki
2. There are access control needs , there are several
hierarchical wikis: 6 wikis and 50 users
Various teams needed access to different wikis : unit teams wiki, network wiki, etc.
Created IT services handbook, blended hierarchical , units team needs a wiki, plus network team....
What we used to solve this was combo of Shib and Grouper.
Shib quieries database gets attributes, In Grouper....
Impact: 6 wikis and 50 users
About a 5th of user ...

Q. When talking about wiki project I had déjà vu w discussion forums, used VBULLETIN low cost PHP operation.

But they wanted to support discussion forums that were completely open to world and

And I was thinking that out in the open source world the concept of multiple access control models for a single application is not well implemented. So need a middleware layer
A: yes we've got 3 different applications 3 languages so they all use same autentication and authorization techniques. Testimatants to the power of these tools that you can use them w different applications, commercial apps and the like.

A media wiki. Don't use separate instances.
