This is just a summary description of MyPlan for the purposes of the ITANA-SOA survey. For official description of the project see:
MyPlan is an on-line tool for students that integrates:
- A faceted search of the course catalog
- An on-line advising tool
- A course selection and planning tool
- The ability to select required courses from an audit
It integrates various legacy systems (DARS degree audit and a legacy curriculum system) and various Kauli modules (Kuali Student Curriculum Development and Kuali Identity Management). The reasopn why this is such a good example of SOA is that all the integrations are done via services.
