    wiki for Illinois Pilot
    1. Making good progress. Rolling out multi tenanted portal. Some service providers who were not originally part of the project scope. They have come to agreement on the variable of the eduperson schema definitions that come with affiliation. In working with pilot school districts they have encountered issues that have allowed them to come up with a set of principles.

    3. Q&A
      1. Will be working with 6 service providers. In working with the providers, it seems SAML is not popular, but it doesn’t take a lot to get them onboard.
        1. For background, see the Illinois Pilot Wiki
      2. What do you see as other service providers adopting this? Will it be like InCommon
        1. Yes. The trick is to insure that the school can determine who they are sharing information with. There is a willing ness for services providers to build a construct where they are not the custodian of PII.
        2. There are interesting approaches and they need to happen with out constraint but provide auditability and transparency
      3. Could this be applied across the country?
        1. It would be a good start. There has been extensive collaboration between IL, NE and WI. They are looking at pressure points and trying to replicate in a scalable manner. They keep looking back to the original goal. The K-12 arena is very unique. They want to make them more secure and productive. There are significant challenges in dealing with K-12. They are unable to answer many questions and will need training. The App Launcher piece is a critical piece. Super intendance want terms of use especially on the life cycle of the data. They will know more in the next month.
        2. Relationships with administrative relations help introduce and arbitrate personal data and define those terms. This is a win-win scenario for everyone.
