              ii.     ION (Linda Winkler)
Linda Winkler reported that the ION working group has had one call and there was good attendance.  Some of the topics discussed include:  IDC deployment, IDC configuration, delivering dynamic service to the campus (expect discussion to continue), transition of ION service to MX platform (the target timeframe is summer of 2010).  There is another call on Thursday, April 8.  The group will continue to discuss the possibility of a multi-point dynamic service.  LONI has asked about this.  John Moore offered that we could bring in the net gurus to help with the campus discussion.  Service delivery model is about to change with move to hybrid service.  Will continue to talk about how to take full advantage of the service.
              iii.     IPv6 (Michael Lambert)
Dale Finkelson mentioned that the group has been talking about how to expand the v6 challenge at the next JT in Columbus.  Michael is teaching a v6 workshop this week.
              iv.     Multicast (Richard Machida)
Richard Machida indicated that the multicast wg held a workshop at U of Conn and had good attendance.  Some in attendance have been working with applictions and they brought forward issues.  Based on those issues, there is an effort to update the website with best common practices.  The wg will meet at the SMM.  There was a question regarding IPv6 multicast and Richard indicated that it is on the back burner.
               v.     Peering & Routing (Jeff Bartig)
Jeff Bartig indicated that the wg was asked for input on request from GEANT.  The wg asked for Internet2 to obtain more information and the wg awaits that additional information.  Internet2 and CENIC are putting together implementation plan for CPS/TR combined service and it is expected that a draft will be shared at the SMM.

The National Broadband Plan mentions UCAN (unified community anchor network) which was an idea originated by the R&E community.  The BTOP submission is for U.S. UCAN which is a network to support anchor institutions.  The AOAC will be electing a new chair and vice chair at the upcoming closed AOAC meeting at the SMM.
All NTAC members are invited to the open AOAC meeting on Monday, April 26, 1:15-2:15 in Salon C.
