Internet2 is soliciting proposals through a Request for Proposal ("RFP") process to select a Vendor to provide the complete set of Services that leverage private cellular networks and other technology to build and operate the Neutral Host Network Platform ("NHNP") for use by research and education. Through the RFP process, the RFP team anticipates evaluating and selecting a Vendor to enter into the NET+ Service Evaluation Process.

Internet2 is distributing a Request for Proposal ("RFP") for the Neutral Host Network Platform ("NHNP"). The purpose of the RFP is to select a Vendor to provide the complete set of Services needed to build and operate the NHNP.

- Responses will only be accepted via email, as outlined in the RFP document, until 5:00 pm ET on March 7, 2024.
- Interested Respondents may submit questions regarding the RFP, as outlined in the document, but no later than 5:00 pm ET on February 15, 2024.
- Direct all correspondence related to the RFP to the Internet2 contact indicated on the document.
Submissions must be complete in all material respects and signed by a duly authorized signatory of the Respondent in order to be considered.
Internet2 reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, and if it determines to award a contract, it reserves the right to select the Vendor that best meets the requirements, as determined by Internet2 in its sole discretion, set forth in the full RFP document.

Notice of Intent to Release a Request for Proposal (RFP) for Neutral Host Network as a Service (NHNaaS)

Internet2 is intending to release a Request for Proposal (RFP) in January 2024 to identify providers interested in delivering a Neutral Host Network as a Service (NHNaaS) offering where institutions’ private LTE/5G networks can be bundled or unbundled with an NHN offering. The RFP will be posted on this page. It is expected selected offering(s) will be part of the Internet2 NET+ portfolio of services designed to support institutions managing risk and maximizing opportunity when deploying information and communication technologies.
The purpose of this notice is to provide early awareness of this impending RFP in our effort to support broad and fair competition. This notice is informational only and does not confer any rights to prospective vendors and does not obligate the Internet2 to engage in any procurement or to purchase any services.
