- Provides access to resources without requiring user configuration of their local machine
- Restrict to subset of users only based on criteria
- Provide a seamless user experience for local institutional and commercial resources using a single user name and password
Why should I provide access to Shibboleth-enabled vendors with the Rewrite Proxy?
- Removes the need for proxy or VPN configuration to provide remote access
- Removes the need to maintain IP's with the vendor
- Provides access to personalized resource functionality with a single user name and password
- Provides easier troubleshooting of breach issues for both on- and off-campus.

- For configurable rewrite proxy, include all access points to ensure continuity in rewrite path
