Highlights

  • Multiple institutions are interested in CAS enhancements to enable multiple authentication methods and MFA.
  • Mike Grady attended the recent IDESG meeting at MIT
    • There's a good amount of interest in our work on alternate strategies for lost tokens.
    • MIT is doing interested work with cell phones as tokens; they're working a Shib-based opt-in MFA service
    • IDESG will be funded at least into Summer/Fall of 2014.
  • Cohortium members are asked to contribute to Status of MFA and Business Justifications documents.
  • In Alternative Strategies When Multi-Factor Tokens Are Not Available, David Walker will clarify that the strategies presented are only examples.  We will solicit more examples from the Cohortium membership.
  • There is overlap among the strategies. We'll clarification that we're presenting only example strategies, and we'll create a table summarizing the breadth of scenarios where strategies might be used.
