1. Is there a publicly available mission and vision statement for U.S. UCAN?

  2. What is the role of state and regional R&E networks in the development of U.S. UCAN?  How can they get involved and be helpful at this point? 

  3. What is the strategy/timeline for gathering feedback from the community anchor institution sectors on the various economic models being developed by the Task Force?  How can the Internet2 K20 Initiative help in the process of collecting feedback?

  4. What are Internet2's obligations to community anchor institutions as part of the U.S. UCAN BTOP award?

  5. Is Internet2 pursuing foundation grants or other sources of start up capital to fund the U.S. UCAN organizational effort?

  6. Are there specific examples of services U.S. UCAN might offer K-12 organizations, libraries, and other community anchors? 

  7. What is U.S. UCAN's strategic approach for engaging community anchor leaders and practitioners to gather their best ideas and offer suggestions on how U.S. UCAN can help meet their self-defined needs? 

  8. The U.S. UCAN BTOP proposal estimates (x) new community anchor institutions will connected to the Internet2 network as a result of BTOP Round 1 and 2 awards.  Is there a list of these organizations with estimates on when they will be connected?  Such a list would help us plan an outreach strategy to these newly enabled community anchors.

  9. What is the process and timeline for crafting a U.S. UCAN governance structure that is both transparent and inclusive? 

  10. How can states that didn't win BTOP awards participate in U.S. UCAN?

  11. How do we ensure Alaska and Hawaii are included in the Internet2 network upgrade and the U.S. UCAN organizational effort?  

  12. What is U.S. UCAN's role in fostering innovative uses of advanced networking capacity and adoption within the various CAI sectors? What is its role in bringing together communities of interest?

  13. Will the Task Force's recommended financial and participation models incorporate the needs of museums and other cultural, artistic, historic, and scientific organizations?

  14. What is the relationship between SEGPs and US UCAN? Will US UCAN lead the SEGP efforts or will SEGPs remain under the Internet2 umbrella?
