K20 Intellectual Property Rights Policies and Practices Forum

Purpose and Goals

• Formed January 11th, 2008.   At the Fall 2008 Internet2 Member Meeting, a common theme emerged among sessions: intellectual property rights. This national and international discourse aims to investigate issues of student intellectual property rights, educating the K20 community about intellectual property rights and best practices from the perspective of the K20 educational community.
• Project goals
  1. Hold a virtual forum via videoconference to begin an international dialog among members of the Internet2 K20 initiative to investigate issues related to intellectual property.
  2. Call on the talents, resources and experiences of the K20 community in a collective effort to address issues raised as part of the discourse.
