International

From Heather F.,

  • IETF 118 is in Prague next week. As usual, there are quite a few working groups discussing items interesting aspects of identity. If you are at all interested in standards and specification work, it's worth at least lurking on interesting mailing lists.

REFEDS

From Heather F.,

  • There is a new consultation open for the Metadata Registration Practice Statement (MRPS) Template v2. This is geared more towards federation operators, but others may find it interesting in terms of how eligibility and validation are determined. The older ways of DNS management are no longer appropriate. See https://wiki.refeds.org/display/CON/Consultation%3A+MRPS+Template+v2
