Agenda

Discuss Education Call

Ann West: Minutes already posted. Group primarily higher ed. Described project to group. Clarified terms and goals. General comments: a lot of interest. Authentication enough, matching makes it better. Next call December 9. Look more at requirements and value propositions.

Discuss Business Call

David Moldoff: Good call. Started with an outline, create a list of outcomes (Jeff Alderson) to highlight what we want. Defined the proof of concept as a demonstration of the process who will volunteer with a memorandum of understanding. Must promise some effort. GU will host VM's. No live data. Primary outcome to develop sales tools to demonstrate ROI. Offer training for participants. Ann will outline thoughts regarding business model for IdP, possibly InCommon.

Review Integration Strategies

Nate: 2 worlds no longer called use cases. Since the 2 cases are not mutually exclusive, we re-termed these as integration strategy 1 and 2. The delineation between the 2: in IS1 authentication happens only at AdmitMe, IS2 is for participants who want to have both Admit and Local authentication. Initially nearly all organizations will fall into IS2, partially because of legacy accounts.

Started to analyze IS2, came up with 4 discrete flows:

1. User authenticating with AdmitMe only with no interaction with local credentials

2. Using only local credentials

3. Using local credentials to bind with AdmitMe credentials

4. Using AdmitMe credentials to bind with local credentials

It is time to start on the flow diagrams for these stories. These will be done by the December 2 call.

What happens after students get into the ecosystem? Attribute gathering and attribute aggregation flows. Attribute aggregation "Use Case C1." The group is encouraged to make comments and edits. Nate will take a hatchet to the front page of the Use Case pages, Nirmal will work on IS2 flows and Arnie will work on IS1 flows.
