InCommon Certificate Service SSO and MFA Available

The use of single sign-on and multifactor authentication for accessing the Sectigo Certificate Manager is available to any subscriber that also operates an Identity Provider in the InCommon Federation. See this wiki page for details.


The InCommon Certificate Service

The InCommon Certificate Service, created by and for the higher education community, provides unlimited server and client certificates at one low fee.

  • Unlimited certificates
  • Pricing based on Carnegie classification (see the full fee schedule on our web site)
  • Internet2 members receive a 25 percent discount

Types of Certificates Available

The InCommon Certificate Service offers four types of certificates. They are:

  • SSL/TLS Certificates
  • S/MIME Certificates (used for device, and email authentication and encryption)
  • Code Signing Certificates
  • IGTF Server Certificates

List of Officially Managed Profiles in Sectigo Certificate Manager

The InCommon Certificate Service team is actively working to make the service easier to use, and clean up some of the confusing aspects of 14 years of the service. As we work with RAOs and DRAOs to accomplish this clean-up, we have designated a list of up to date, profiles that any new enrollment form or request should be using.
