Now for Something Completely Different: Solutions - Regency A/D

Now that you’re an expert on the InCommon Federation, let’s do a deep dive into your organization’s identity questions. Following up on our intro to IAM on day one, we’ll talk through high-level architecture and set the stage for the Solutions Salon. Also included will be information about the open-source InCommon Trusted Access Platform and how that maps to identity-related business architecture.

The Solutions Salon features discussions of four general Identity and Access Management challenges and potential solutions. Over the next two time slots, we’ll feature four IAM challenges. Choose the two that interest you the most!

Guest Systems - Regency B -Many organizations prefer to have a separate guest identity system (for affiliates such as alumni, contractors, or others that need access to a limited number of resources). We’ll discuss some of the things to consider. (Benn Oshrin, Spherical Cow Group)

Onboarding - Regency C -Onboarding and lifecycle management can be a sticky wicket. What should you consider as you bring new identities into your system and then manage access and roles (since users’ statuses can change over time)? (Keith Hazelton, InCommon/Internet2)
