The Internet2 NET+ program utilizes a competitive procurement process when the community has an emerging technology need that requires evaluation of multiple potential vendors or when no single provider has been clearly identified to address a community-wide need. Through an RFx process, Internet2 engages with vendors to ensure a fair and transparent selection, enabling the research and higher education community to access innovative solutions while benefiting from strategic negotiations that improve pricing and terms.
