Grouper

Internet2's Grouper Toolkit enables project managers, departments, institutions and end users to create and manage institutional and personal groups, roles, and permissions. It puts control of a group in the hands of its steward and enables the person to manage the membership and what resources it can access.

Shibboleth

Shibboleth is an open-source project that provides single sign-on capabilities and allows sites to make informed authorization decisions for individual access of protected online resources in a privacy-preserving manner. Shibboleth is among the world's most widely deployed federated identity solutions, connecting users to applications both within and between organizations. Every software component of the Shibboleth system is free and open source.

MACE-Dir

MACE-Dir is the directories working group of the Middleware Architecture Committee for Education (MACE), formed in 2002, and key to the development and ongoing maintenance of the eduPerson attribute schema.

Social Identity

The Social Identity Working Group intends to use a community process to explore requirements for the use of "Social Identities" to authenticate to campus-based services and InCommon-based services, use pilots to explore and evaluate possible approaches, and to make recommendations to TAC on approaches that InCommon should recommend as production-worthy approaches to the requirements.

CoCoA

CoCoA is a collaboration platform consisting of COmanage, OpenConext, and Attributes, developed to help virtual organizations provide a set of collaboration tools, domain tools, and collaboration-centric identity management and access control mechanism.

Community Priorities

This session will discuss the progress of the latest community priorities related to identity management, including such topics as assurance, interfederation, K-12 pilots, COmmit, and CIFER.
