Welcome

Welcome to the first-ever cohort of the fully-refreshed Itana New2EA Program! This page summarizes the core platforms and tools that will be used to deliver the program, and highlights the two digital identities that all participants will need to have in place to get started.

Core Platforms and Tools

Google Workspace

Google Workspace will be used extensively to create, harvest, and distribute records related to the operation of the program, learning and teaching resources provided to participants, and participant-created content.  The use of Google file formats will be encouraged (i.e., Docs, Sheets, Slides).

Zoom

Program sessions will be held using the Zoom videoconferencing platform, which provides excellent features for session management, quick polls, and breakout rooms.

EDUCAUSE Community Facilities

EDUCAUSE has community-and-collaboration facilities that are proven and used extensively across hundreds of groups.  Where appropriate, the program will make use of these facilities (particularly EDUCAUSE Connect and the EDUCAUSE Mentoring Platform).

Digital Identities

Google Account

All participants will need to have a Google account to engage with and consume from the New2EA resource libraries.  This Google account may be institutionally-assigned, or personal, or a new account created specifically for use in the Itana New2EA Program.  The offer-acceptance form will be asking each participant to nominate the Google account they wish to use on the program.

EDUCAUSE Account

Every participant in the Itana New2EA program is expected to have EDUCAUSE member login that is activated for EDUCAUSE Connect and EDUCAUSE Mentoring.
