“Type A” Contracts: Customer signs with the service provider

• Facilitation Agreement (FA) between Internet2 and the Service Provider
• Customer Agreement (CA) between Customer and the Service Provider (or an individual reseller)
• Customer Agreement may be negotiated from the Internet2 template CA or the providers standard terms and conditions
• Internet2 must approve all material changes to the CA; state law changes allowed

 “Type B” Contracts: Customer signs with Internet2

• Business Agreement between Internet2 and the Service Provider
• Participation Agreement between Internet2 and the Customer
• Participation Agreement is negotiated from the Internet2 template
• Internet2 must approve all material changes to the PA
• Participant has third party beneficiary rights to terms and conditions in the business agreement

Distributor Agreements: Customer signs with a reseller

• Provider Facilitation Agreement (PFA) between Internet2 and the Service Provider
• Distributor Facilitation Agreement (DFA) between Internet2 and the Distributor
• Terms of Service (ToS) signed either with the Service Provider or Reseller (depending on the model)
• Customer Order Form (Order Form) between the Customer and the Reseller
• Internet2 must approve all material changes to the CA; state law changes allowed
