Introduction

The approaches featured in this section help architects work as leaders in their organizations, creating consensus around ideas, inspiring action, and guiding solutions.

Architectural approaches overlap with those used by project managers and other leaders, but focus on slightly different themes. These themes include:

  • Leading toward what is best for the whole organization, not just a particular project
  • Building consensus around ideas that lead to the right scope and initiatives
  • Measuring success in terms of long-term architectural principles, not just short-term benefits
