Internet2 Updates

Jeff reported on Internet2 software development.

  • There have been new release candidates of many perfSONAR services in the past month.
  • Working on release candidates for
    • lookup service
    • perfSONAR BUOY that supports OWAMP
  • Plan to have a release candidate of pS-Performance toolkit around Joint Techs in July

Joint Techs in Indianapolis, July 19-23

  • There are three  4-hour tutorials on Sunday afternoon July 19. These are at no extra charge to Joint Techs attendees.
  • There will be limited electrical plugs in the auditorium and meeting rooms.  Attendees should bring an extra battery if they have one. Be prepared to charge up as you can.
  • Perf. WG will meet at Joint Techs on Monday, July 20 from 3:30 - 4:50 p.m.
  • Another interesting session to our community is
    Perf Measurement in a Multi-Domain Infrastructure with Joe Metzgher and Vince Dattoria
    Tues. July 21 from 12:30 - 1:50 pm

IPV6 Measurement Data

Joe St. Sauver noted that there is an interest in getting IPV6 measurement data. Not possible to do netflow V9  on the Junipers.
Yes, special filters put in place to do some of that.   See if we can get data from the PCs. Need an anonymouzation policy for IPv6.

[AI]  Carla will put the IpV6 measurement data topic on the agenda for the Performance WG at Joint Techs.

[AI] Joe will send a summary to the list on this topic IPv6 securtiy, including his recommondeations

Working Group Charter

Everyone is encouraged to review the proposed Performance WG charter.

The goal is to present the charter to  the NTAC before Joint Techs.

Next Meeting

Next meeting will be at Joint Techs in Indianapolis on Monday, July 20 from 3:30 - 4:50 p.m.

Phone dial-in will most likely not be available due to the high cost at this venue.
