Action Items

Discussion

Announcements and Updates

  • The Trust and Identity PAG is being refactored this year, so there won't be a need to impose on CACTI’s resources for a representative.

Community Update: Licia Florio

  • Licia Florio presented some history and the current state of identity activities at GÉANT.
    • Her slides are available in 20220216-CACTI-T&I-LF.pdf.
    • During the discussion of AARC, Ann mentioned that the InCommon Trusted Access Platform also supports the AARC blueprint. Rob agreed, saying that it's fortunate that the AARC blueprint is software agnostic.

CACTI Working Group(s) charter status

    • Rob added text to indicate that the group's emphasis should be on SSO systems that involve SAML, but left the issue open for the group to decide about specific SSO systems.
    • We’ll scope deliverables as being for InCommon to host, per Licia's suggestion.
    • CACTI will want to consider further work in other projects (e.g., Shib) that may result from the group’s final report.
    • The charter's target completion time was changed to six months, instead of three.
    • The charter was approved. Rob and David will get it into the document repository.
    • There are still some unresolved comments. The main sticking point is probably the scope of work.
    • Steven Premeau mentioned that TAC has not completely signed off on this, so CACTI will wait for TAC and come back to this in the next meeting.
