This community collaboration group is exploring the building of federations within and across state boundaries. Invited participants include StateNets and Higher Education Systems staff. This effort is supported by Internet2, EDUCAUSE and the InCommon Federation.

The activity will take the form of a monthly call/communication session with a possibly move to biweekly if interest grows. Topics include:
•    Exploring issues relating to federations
•    Sharing experiences and identifying solutions
•    Build on strategies used by state university systems
•    Culling emerging practices
