Recap and steps forward

Kevin & Elaine to reach out to 50% of committee (6-10) for one on one  interviews to zero in on the processes for developing the core message Planning Session. July 22

InCommon Assurance Program Closeout

Ann shared the transition and closeout document, recapped the program from inception to end, what was learned and the positive outcomes.  Some of the noted positive outcomes were adoption by key organizations, Shibboleth support for MFA, new partners like Kantara that helped influence global multi sector federation standards and the creation of the Baseline Expectations Program. Next steps will be to evolve and extend Baseline expectations, with V2 going into effect in July.

All campuses that were involved in the Assurance Program have terminated their participation.  A blog post will be published to serve as the final public notice of the end of this program.

It was mentioned that this should be celebrating a win, just moving to a new phase of assurance in a new form.

InCommon Catalyst Program

Ann reviewed the Catalyst program and the Catalysts that are currently involved. The inaugural group is familiar with the community challenges and have a community focus, the ask is that they give back.  Phase 1- MOU and website presence is complete. The next phase will be working on collaboration, promotion and outreach goals.

Laura, being part of the Catalyst program, shared that it is a very diverse group and it has been a great opportunity to meet folks from other organizations and develop new collaborations.  It is a great way for the catalysts to get visibility.

Companies only need to join the Internet2 industry program and there are no additional fees as long as they meet the criteria.

Michael Berman asked if there is a statement of expectations from the companies and suggested that maybe a FAQ explaining the terms on the website page be added.
