“Type A” Contracts: Customer signs with the service provider
- Facilitation Agreement (FA) between Internet2 and the Service Provider
- Customer Agreement (CA) between Customer and the Service Provider (or an individual reseller)
- Customer Agreement may be negotiated from the Internet2 template CA or the providers standard terms and conditions
- Internet2 must approve all material changes to the CA; state law changes allowed
“Type B” Contracts: Customer signs with Internet2
- Business Agreement between Internet2 and the Service Provider
- Participation Agreement between Internet2 and the Customer
- Participation Agreement is negotiated from the Internet2 template
- Internet2 must approve all material changes to the PA
- Participant has third party beneficiary rights to terms and conditions in the business agreement
Distributor Agreements: Customer signs with a reseller
- Provider Facilitation Agreement (PFA) between Internet2 and the Service Provider
- Distributor Facilitation Agreement (DFA) between Internet2 and the Distributor
- Terms of Service (ToS) signed either with the Service Provider or Reseller (depending on the model)
- Customer Order Form (Order Form) between the Customer and the Reseller
- Internet2 must approve all material changes to the CA; state law changes allowed
