Standard Service Lifecycle:
Candidate – Provides a holding area for services of interest to Internet2 and stakeholders.
Service Evaluation – Rigorous higher education peer validation of services to ensure the service meets the needs to the Research and Education (R&E) community.
Early Adopter – Services are available in the NET+ Portfolio. Tuning of the service to meet R&E standards and needs.
General Availability – Services advisory board approves the service for General Availability once it is meeting standards and requirements and is highly adopted. Ongoing review of the service continues.
Sunset - Service no longer meets R&E needs or has a low level of adoption.

Pre-Service Evaluation – Allows Service Provider to start selling on short term contracts to gauge interest and quickly bring the service to market
