Trust and Identity Document Stewardship

Introduction

Internet2 Trust and Identity's document stewardship process is intended to formalize the management of documents as they are drafted, proposed, vetted, and approved for use, and published for open access.  It is intended to address any documents that are products of work sponsored by Trust and Identity or one of its community advisory groups.

• Recommendations and guidelines
• White papers

Authorized Sponsors

Authorized sponsors for documents in the document stewardship process are:

• CACTI (Community Architecture Committee for Trust and Identity)
  
• The Trust and Identity Program Advisory Group (PAG)
• Internet2 Trust and Identity executive management
  
• Incommon Technical Advisory Committee (TAC)
• InCommon Assurance Advisory Committee (AAC)
• InCommon Steering Committee

CACTI (Community Architecture Committee for Trust and Identity) is the "owner" of the document stewardship processes.

Preparing a Document to go into the Document Repository

To prepare a document to go into the Document Repository

1. Contact Emily Eisbruch to get the document repository ID

2. The cover page must include this info below. Note that as of August 2017 there will likely be one more piece of data required, which is the DOI. The DOI process is being implemented as of July 2017

Document Title

3. The footer (at least on 1st page of the doc) must include this info (where year is the current year)

• The Document Repository Service, describes T&I's support service for the process and the documents.  It also contains criteria for the selection of a technical platform for the repository itself.
