Precondition: A record in the TIER Entity Registry is determined to have conflated the data of two or more 'actual' persons. At the start, a single record in the Entity Registry refers to a single record in the SOR. Additional SOR records will need to be created to rectify the situation.
- Alter the SOR record pointed to by the Entity Registry record such that it reflects the correct data for the person identified by that SOR identifier.
- From the SOR, notify the Entity Registry that the SOR record has been updated, and its data needs to be re-imported.
- Create additional SOR records for each distinct person. For each new record, invoke the Entity Registry's Search/Match functionality.
- TODO: resolve issues around renames of identifiers in downstream systems
