The Internet2 Guest Account is a service provided by Cirrus Identity that enables people who do not have an InCommon-member organizational identity provider to access services provided through Internet2 Identity Services.
The creation of the guest account is a separate process from the Internet2 Account Registration and the process includes transferring your browser to the Cirrus Identity Domain who is a trusted partner of Internet2.
Cirrus Identity's service manages the establishment and verification of Internet2 Guest Login account. Essentially, it takes your account's assurance that you are who you say you are and lets Internet2 know it is okay to give you access to Internet2 services.
