2.    Update from AOAC
Paul Schopis reported that the chairs and vice chairs met in December to discuss the upcoming strategic planning process for Internet2.

The AOAC was asked to review the "working with connectors" policy.  It can be found at: http://www.internet2.edu/connectors/
item #14 within the FAQ listed on the left side

Rick added a meeting of the steering committee for the strategic planning process will be held soon and a meeting of the full committee is planned for early March.  David Lassner will lead a BOF at the Joint Techs meeting to talk about the strategic planning process. Bill Decker (former CIO at U of Iowa) will be working as a consultant to lead the strategic planning process.

3.    Update from Dynamic Services
Rick mentioned that this is moving along well. The Internet2 piece is operational and working well.  The peering piece is progressing.  Phoebus is in place and a researcher at NYSERNet is testing it.  There are two servers---NY and Utah.  Four additional servers will be added in the coming months.  Phoebus developers are working closely with NYSERNet.

Much work on dynamic services remains including policy work as well as information regarding how people are making use of dynamic services.

4.    Update from the Peering Working Group
Steve sent an updated v6 over CPS document that incorporated Michael Lambert's suggested changes.  There will be a session at JT covering the v6 migration and what it will mean to the connectors.  There are more than 80,000 routes and Internet2 is looking for eyeball customers to better balance the traffic.

John Streck asked for an addition to the document to cover peering for multicast.

5.    Update on ARIN issues
NTAC is forming a group to investigate how ARIN is handling legacy address space.

6.    Update on Naval Observatory
No update was available.

7.    Other topics
One of the important topics under consideration by the community is the RHCPP.  Steve mentioned that he has begun internal Intenret2 discussions regarding asking the NTAC and NOC, what is needed to meet the requirements of the program as we begin to understand those requirements.  Discussion ensued on the topic.
