Cas began the meeting with a request for everyone to look at the agenda. No changes were made:
Eric Boyd - OSE discussion
Matt Davy - Open Flow discussion
John Moore - CAI paper update
Eric gave an overview of the OSE plans. He pointed out that there were a number of use cases that had been brought forward that resulted in the current plans for OSE. These include, AOAC Layer 2 request, LHCONE, ION and DYNES. The approach to providing for these use cases will be the OSE infrastructure. The substrate for OSE is planned to be Open Flow.
The question was raised "How does OSE affect DYNES? No immediate answer was known but it was discussed.
Matt Davy then gave a fairly detailed presentation on Open Flow.
John Moore then discussed the CAI paper. The purpose of this paper is to provide input to the potential new connector agreement related to US UCAN. There were 3 separate groups working on this, the general sense was the last version captured the sense of all the groups and the community. The document has been delivered to the Mike Roberts group. The immediate response was that it was useful and that they might come back to the NTAC for further information.
Cas then addressed some housekeeping issues:
He will consider if there will be a May meeting.
The IP Multicast WG will be moved to a SIG.
