- Eve Maler, Forrester Research ( http://www.forrester.com/Eve-Maler ):
- I cover MFA for Forrester, and a few months back I published a "Customer Authentication Assessment Framework" that was based on the Quest to Replace Passwords framework. Now I'm concluding a broader Authentication Market Overview that leverages the same organizational principles.
I will speak about why and how I revised the original 25 benefits, along with how the vendors and solutions in the marketplace are stacking up against them (my version currently has 26). I've managed to get 2+ dozen vendors to participate in this latest effort, and I'll probably end up with 3-4+ dozen individual solution assessments. This will be published as a document entitled "Market Overview: User Authentication Solutions in 2013, Part 1 Of 2; Forrester Sees Seven Major Trends, Including Attempts To 'Kill The Password'". I will discuss all this, and also the specifics around how we enhanced the UDS criteria in looking at specific solutions for Part 2 of the research.
