4:15 - 5:00                   Wrap up - set agenda for next meeting                      Jim Phelps SOA panel - Paul reported that PowerPoint will not be used, but he will send out short paper in advance of the meeting to use as a starting point for discussion. General topics will include:
-         What is SOA

-         Why do this

-         Design principles

-         Implementation and affect on infrastructure service and business process.

-         What currently exists - middleware from I2 and Shib.

-         How SOA can be disruptive to data services

        -         SOA adoption strategies

Paul will distribute his paper the second week in May. He called for others to think about specific projects at their institutions to highlight and provide him the information.

Tom will contact those presenting during the "architecture at your institution" session and encourage discussion of topics, as opposed to formal PowerPoint presentations.

Mark will also distribute information concerning his session; first emailing a rough bullet list as a discussion starter.

There are 13 signed up to attend thus far and the limit of two people per institution is lifted. The University of Rochester had asked for additional slots - Steveo will let them know that space is available.

Participation by non-participants was discussed. There will be a chat room available for any who cannot attend in person. Mark, Paul and Tom will take turns scribing in the chat room as the meeting goes along.  Information will also be placed on wiki.

The working group discussed whether any specific individuals should receive invitations. Jim will send a note to CSG and contact James Hooper, Michael Grady. Tom will contact the CIC working group and Bob will contact Rutgers, Princeton, NYU and Kualy.

In terms of logistics, Steveo said the room will include power strips, wifi and a projector.

There was a general discussion about follow-up from this meeting. Jim identified several opportunities for presentations including the Educause meeting in October and the Internet2 fall member meeting.
