SeamlessAccess
The product roadmap is always available to the public: https://seamlessaccess.org/services/

The WAYF Disambiguation Working Group will be publishing their first paper later this month that describes the problem space.

The Contract Language Working Group is close to releasing a template that offers language to support federation-based authentication and authorization and removes IP-based/location-based language from library subscription contracts. This contract template has been written as generically as possible so as to be usable around the world. The template is heavily based on the liblicense framework.

The UX team is focused on creating a demo site/reference implementation for SeamlessAccess as well as working towards guidance on how to signal whether an IdP will work in a given authentication/authorization workflow. The team will be meeting with Ann West this week to discuss if and how to brand a WAYF page with federation information.

Browser Interactions
Heather Flanagan will be doing an encore on Wednesday, November 10, of the "Browser Changes and the Impact on Federated Identity" session held at CAMP. More information is available on the IAM Online website: https://incommon.org/academy/webinars/

CTAB update for TAC

Subject:[TAC-InC] CTAB update for TAC
Date:Thu, 4 Nov 2021 16:31:10 +0000
From:Eric Goodman

I think this week’s update is pretty similar to the last one, the items are just each a little further along.

  • Further discussion of the “SIRTFI Tabletop” exercise being planned (and mentioned in the last CTAB update)
    • Outreach included Hannah Short, Kyle Lewis
    • Discussed scoping and potential participants (both in planning and execution)
  • Held another BE2 office hour (last week).
  • Discussed CTAB election/nomination status and process
  • Reviewed and started preliminary “docket” assignment for non-compliant BE2 organizations
    • This means identifying who will contact each non-complaint BE2 org for status gathering, etc.
