Action Items

[Woodbeck] - create listserv for parties interested in the topic

[Michigan] - write generalized use case on wiki

[all] - once use case is written and listserv established, gather interested parties to listserv

Notes

Discussed the use case in detail, and some possible approaches for how to determine a solution that would not be a one-off.

Agreed upon an approach to invite interested parties into some forum for discussion.  Agree at least for now on an approach for moving forward.  Gives vendors and universities that may have the same challenges a blueprint for implementation, and a hope for a best practice to emerge.  To take this approach, agreed on some next steps.

  • create a listserv for communication on the topic
  • create a genereralized use case on the wiki
  • build community of interest - do so by sending note to some listservs (incommon-participants, inc-libsrvcs) and individuals (Carmody, UK - Williams, similar institutions not in InCommon)
  • schedule conference call 3-4 weeks out to discuss
  • No labels
