Discussion about the vendor questionnaire
Some confusion about using the term WAYFless and there was not common understanding of the term in the group; some thought it to mean use of a federation-provided WAYF service, while others thought it to mean any service (federation or service provider) that requires the user to choose their institution. We came to an agreement that we wanted vendors to tell us about the latter, so we decided to revise the wording of question 3 of the questionnaire.
Also discussion about staying focused on the ezproxy use case. Need the ability to link directly to resources, not just to vendors' search interfaces. Decided to revise the wording of question 4 to ask if vendors support direct linking to resources.
Since some vendors have multiple products and services, we discussed how me might appropriately address this in the questionnaire. Decided to modify per vendor and ask them to answer questions across their product line.
