   Basic flow:

1. User browses wiki space, or searches wiki space. Upon coming to a page that is restricted, the user may ask permission for viewing. This is done by sending an email to the spaces administrator (the email address is displayed on the main pages or most of the wiki spaces). The administrator makes an access decision based on the reasons given for seeking access.

2. User is a member of a working group or collaboration group and seeks permission to edit pages in that group's wiki space. This is done by sending an email to the spaces administrator.

3. User is already registered. The user can browse pages anonymously. When the user attempts to view a restricted page, or attempts to edit a page to which he or she has access, the user is confronted with (the first time) a WAYF and logs in with home institution or Protect Network credentials. The user can choose to have a cookie set, which will allow bypassing the WAYF on the next login. In that case, the user will be confronted with the institution's login page.
