A Pitch for a Particular Style of Functional Model as a First-round Work Stream Deliverable

Need for a Comprehensive High-level Functional Model for CIFER

What is urgently needed from each work stream team is a high-level narrative description of that work stream's scope, context and connections to other parts of the IT ecosystem.  Such a document should answer the question "What is the X work stream about?". It would serve the following purposes:

• Help new work stream participants get up to speed quickly
• Provide background material to be shared with subject matter experts from inside and outside the higher education world with whom we interact
• Serve as vetted reference material for incorporation into CIFER presentations to various audiences

Does RL"Bob"'s Identity Registry Functional Model provide a good example of this style of functional model for other work streams to follow? What changes might be needed to improve it or make it work better for other work streams?
