A school district is using Canvas K-12, an LMS service provided by Instructure.
What is there now:
- The district has a Shib IdP setup, is using it to access Canvas, and is a member of InCommon
- Canvas has a Shib SP setup, supports a limited set of attributes and is a member of InCommon
- The school district and Instructure have a bilateral relationship (not really using InCommon today)
For the pilot, we could expand this in a number of ways:
- Encourage Instructure to publish metadata to InCommon and to support additional attributes
- Find other districts that have an IdP setup and want to use Canvas K-12
- Or, find other districts that use Canvas and get them setup with an IdP and InCommon membership
