-------

  • Ann provided an overview of the CommIT Collaborative. Detailed information is available on the project wiki: https://spaces.at.internet2.edu/x/L6SKAQ
  • The initial scope---looking at federated authentication of prospects who already have identity-proofed credentials.
  • The bulk of the meeting is document in a Google doc that the group used to outline a process flow, starting with a prospect who is at the application stage (used Penn State process as a starting point). http://goo.gl/T0Wmw
  • There was a discussion of some of the issues involved in the process of potential students submitting applications, test scores, etc., and the matching that must occur with information sometimes coming from students, sometimes parents, sometimes other sources.
  • There is interest in looking at ways the CommIT concept could help streamline the admissions process. A subgroup will draft of a couple of user flows for high-value methods for such streamlining. Volunteers: Ann West, Nate Klingenstein, Arnie Miles, Vince Timbers, Doug Shook (I think), Karen Hanson, Khalil Yazdi. Ann will set up a call.
