CTAB 2023 Workplan items

  • Public CTAB Workplan 2022
  • Many of the 2022 items will likely continue into 2023
  • Note: Consultation on REFEDs MFA Profile is still open until Jan. 15, 2023: https://wiki.refeds.org/display/CON/Consultation%3A+MFA+Profile+v1.1
  • In 2023 CTAB should revisit the 2022 CTAB work plan item:  “Settle how we’ll handle TLS security”
    • A proposal was developed in 2022 but no firm decision was made

  • An important topic: how to encourage services to become InCommon ready (ready for federation) or eduGAIN Ready
    • “X Ready” could be a marketing sort of thing we use, eg, “Research Ready” and “InCommon Ready” and “eduGAIN Ready”
  • REFEDs baseline expectations was finished within past two years and the REFEDs Baseline Expectations working group is closed
  • Could be beneficial if federations put in writing how we are meeting baseline expectations
