Minutes from June 17, 2011 EA2 Pilot Project

- Arnie create a separate requirements document to track requirements as they come up.

- Arnie will write requirements, drivers, and flow, business process.

Requirements:
- Output matching.
- Flow paths (see action items)
- Incentives (money and goodwill)
- College Board and ACT must be able to maintain branding.
- User does not need to know where attributes are stored
- Central authority “One-Pass”.
- 3rd party
- Initially self register
- Photo identification at test time increases LOA
- 3rd party only maintains what is necessary to uniquely identify individual
- Each participating vendor maintains private details relevant to their needs
Drivers for higher ed:
- Solves matching problem
- Admissions officers would no longer have to provide temporary credentials for applicants
- Simpler credentials at higher LOA
- Simpler account management
Summary of discussion:
Is there a down side to having a single IdP for the Industry? Apparently No
3rd party holds minimum information necessary to identify user
ACT and CollegeBoard act as Registration Authority
RA information needs to enter certain information into One-Pass
