TeraGrid Science Gateway

TeraGrid has identified three types of Science Gateways:

  1. Type I Science Gateway
  2. Type II Science Gateway
  3. Type III Science Gateway

Type I Science Gateway

Using the GridShib SAML Assertion Tools, we might architect a Type I Science Gateway as follows:

Note that the Science Gateway depicted in the above diagram wields a community credential, which it uses to issue proxy certificates.
