Getting Started with Federated Identity Management

CAMP Pre-Conference

Wednesday, November 13, 2013 1:30 pm - 5:00 pm (PT)

This pre-conference workshop will focus on the primary principles that underlie an effective identity management system, look at how federated IdM fits and why it is important, and introduce you to InCommon services.

If you are just starting in the world of identity management, and are interested in federated identity management and InCommon, this workshop is for you. We'll use an interactive approach, based on case studies, to provide you with:

  1. Introductory knowledge of identity management and federation
  2. Security implications of IdM and federated IdM
  3. Exercises to help you evaluate your users, resources and policies
  4. An introduction to InCommon and how to get started

Please note that there is a separate registration fee for the pre-CAMP workshop.
