- Please say your name when you start to speak, until we learn each others' voices
- Please ask colleagues to define terms, expand acronyms, etc, until we learn each others' jargon
- It's ok to challenge your colleagues in pursuit of quality of discourse. Hopefully in a nice way
- Please disclose any conflicts of interest you may have in any of the agenda topics, and potentially excuse yourself from the relevant conversations
- Please use the CACTI scribing doc
- Internet2 Intellectual Property Agreement reminder
- CACTI Charter pointer
- Agreements:
- Volunteer(s) to scribe (new standing item)
- Agenda bash
- Announcements
- Working Group Updates (email only) - Please share via email on the CACTI list ahead of time
- Main Business
- Voting for 2023 membership
- Ballot (Google form) created. Ballot will be sent 11/8, return by end of business 11/21.
- 6 seats are open. 3 vacants and 3 current/returning.
- Spreadsheet to review nominees - CACTI Nominees - Term starting 2023 - Google Sheets
- Maybe need to address the membership rotation gap coming up in three years, at some point
- Officer selections for next year can happen after membership votes.
- Component Architecture group charter
- Component Architecture grew from TIER which no longer exists with a focus on modularity of solutions. Component Architecture has touches with many groups. Relationships with Catalyst partners, projects, contractors.
- Membership - automatic (lead architects, lead contributors) limited (SMEs pulled in for purpose specific initiative)
- Conflict of interest is a concern due the nature of Component Architecture. One vote for one person instead of one vote per role to achieve a plurality
- Work output is covered by existing standard and software licensing which has been reviewed. All software must be unencumbered.
- Component Architecture oversees change management of solutions.
- Component Architecture & CACTI must work together to ensure effective portfolio management. Align needs with the ability to deliver
- Voting for 2023 membership
